Join WorkWave's growing Legal team as a Corporate Paralegal! You will support the General Counsel and business teams in managing corporate governance, contracts, compliance, and strategic projects. This role requires experience in a corporate environment, ideally within SaaS or tech. You will review, draft, and negotiate contracts; manage the contract lifecycle; prepare corporate documents; ensure data privacy compliance; and develop legal templates. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program, or juris doctor
- At least two years of experience as a corporate paralegal, ideally within a technology or SaaS company
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow through on projects to completion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with business teams and external partners
- A proactive and adaptable approach to legal work with the ability to think strategically and handle complex legal issues
Responsibilities
- Assist with corporate governance, entity management, and compliance for WorkWaveβs growing SaaS business
- Review, draft, and negotiate various contracts, including NDAs, service agreements, and vendor contracts
- Coordinate contract lifecycle management processes, including tracking renewals and expirations
- Support the legal team in the preparation and filing of corporate documents, including board resolutions, minutes, and regulatory filings with state and federal authorities
- Help ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) by maintaining documentation and assisting with data protection assessments
- Develop and maintain legal templates, policies, and training materials
- Liaise with internal teams and external counsel to support legal projects
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement, product, engineering, and sales teams, to ensure legal compliance in various business areas such as product development, licensing, and customer agreements
- Conduct legal research on matters related to SaaS industry standards, intellectual property, and emerging tech regulations
- Maintain and organize legal files and documents, ensuring timely and efficient access to critical records
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SaaS agreements, intellectual property (IP) issues, and privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA
- Paralegal certification
