Lead the strategic evolution of our brand's visual identity and digital presence, delivering high-impact creative direction across various marketing channels. Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to define and execute a scalable, modern visual system. Work with a global team of designers and creative agencies to ensure visual elements align with Smarsh's brand and message. Requirements
- Proven experience as an Art Director or in a senior design role, preferably in the tech industry
- 10+ years of experience in art direction, visual design, or creative leadership roles
- Strong portfolio showcasing digital design, branding, and UX/UI projects
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, Canva, and motion design tools
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles, web design, and front-end development concepts
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills with experience guiding creative teams
- Experience managing the work of the internal team as well as external agencies
- Ability to travel up to 20% internationally, as required
- Ability to balance creativity with business objectives and adapt to evolving project needs
- Ability to work in fast-paced, global environments and meet tight deadlines
- Understanding of design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the creative vision for Smarshโs brand across digital and experiential platforms
- Deliver a modular design system that improves production efficiency and visual consistency
- Collaborate with internal teams and agency partners to produce high-quality creative assets aligned with business goals
- Provide strategic guidance on visual storytelling, branding, and user experience
- Ensure all creative outputs reflect Smarshโs brand values, tone, and innovation
- Partner with the VP of Communications & Brand and a global team of designers
- Advise on best practices in digital design, branding, and UX/UI
- Review and approve creative assets to ensure alignment with brand strategy
- Provide mentorship and feedback to internal design resources as needed
- Ensure consistency in branding, typography, color schemes, and overall aesthetic
- Guide and mentor designers and creative agencies
- Be a strong partner with our content team; work closely with copywriters to ensure visuals and messaging are cohesive
- Balance and deliver against the marketing needs of all three Smarsh business units (enterprise, corporate, and public sector) by presenting design concepts and creative strategies and bringing them to life
- Demonstrate curiosity and business acumen; stay updated on industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
- Review and approve designs, artwork, photography, and graphics before production
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on SaaS, software, AI, or tech-related projects is a plus
- Familiarity with 3D design, AR/VR, or interactive media
