Summary

Join DEPT® as a Creative Strategist and lead digital advertising performance through strategic creative planning, innovation, testing, and optimization. You will ensure adherence to brand guidelines and ad platform guidance, while proactively proposing and executing creative tests to evolve best practices. As a liaison between Media and Design teams, you will build strong rapport and ensure a constant creative feedback loop. This fully remote position requires 2+ years of experience in growth marketing with a focus on creative strategy and testing, a proven track record in delivering strategic creative recommendations, and a strong understanding of testing methodologies. You will be responsible for leading creative strategy for a large-scale global account, crafting creative briefs, developing and maintaining a creative roadmap, leveraging expertise and research to recommend new strategic creative directions, tracking the progress of creative testing efforts, preparing and presenting creative audits, prioritizing creative production requests, creating an effective feedback loop between teams, presenting strong POV to clients, producing thought leadership, and embracing an up-to-date understanding of performance best practices.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience working in Creative Strategy or closely related role in the Digital Marketing space w/ creative focus
  • Extensive experience using data to fuel creative testing recommendations
  • A comprehensive knowledge of visual advertising platforms in Social (ideally TikTok, Snap, FB/IG), Display (GDN) and Mobile (App)
  • Excellent communication skills (you should be comfortable speaking to clients and internal stakeholders)
  • Strong writing and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Leading creative strategy for a large-scale global account; working directly with media and design teams to execute strategic creative tests (this is a large team with several moving parts at any given time)
  • Crafting creative briefs and working directly with account and creative teams to oversee execution from a strategy perspective
  • Developing and maintaining a creative roadmap that will support critical client goals
  • Leveraging your own expertise and research as well as various agency resources to proactively recommend new strategic creative directions that could unlock growth opportunities
  • Evangelizing DEPT’s vision of scalable iterations in creative testing in order to improve advertising performance for our clients
  • Tracking the progress of creative testing efforts and reporting on trends
  • Preparing and presenting creative audits to clients through creative performance analysis, competitive research and persona development
  • Developing and maintaining strategic creative testing roadmaps, forming strong testing hypotheses, and prioritizing tests based upon anticipated impact and past testing results
  • Prioritizing creative production requests based on a number of factors (urgency, expected impact, client expectations, client opportunity, etc)
  • Creating an effective feedback loop between teams so that performance signals are consistently infused into new creative production - this necessitates organized documentation and dissemination of all creative performance and tests
  • Presenting strong POV to clients on a regular basis to help guide the overall creative strategy for their growth marketing objectives
  • Build agendas and presentations for weekly calls and speak to proposed strategy, test hypotheses, new insights/learnings, etc
  • Establishing yourself as a subject matter expert for Creative Strategy
  • Producing thought leadership for DEPT Marketing purposes: blog posts, case studies, white papers, webinars
  • Embracing an up-to-date and continually evolving understanding of performance best practices, best-in-class examples across industries/competitors, and white spaces within digital performance channels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work within a large team with lots of moving pieces
  • Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and ongoing work items; while effectively managing changing priorities
  • Experience managing a small team
  • Ability to be strong/assertive with strategy recommendation
  • Agency experience, and comfortability working in a very fast-paced environment
  • You are a believer in “work/life integration” – this is not a 9 to 5 job by any means
