Summary
Join DEPTยฎ as a Senior Creative Strategist and lead digital advertising performance through strategic creative planning, innovation, testing, and optimization. You will ensure brand and platform guideline adherence while proactively proposing and executing creative tests. Serve as a liaison between Media and Design teams, fostering strong rapport and a constant creative feedback loop. Act as the client's advocate, ensuring their objectives are effectively communicated and executed across large, multi-functional teams. You will need to be adaptable, handle critical tasks, and manage and mentor a growing team. This role requires a passion for creative and the ability to unify marketing knowledge and creative craft into a formula for growth and success. It is not a design role.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience working in Creative Strategy or a closely related role in the Digital Marketing space with a creative focus
- Extensive experience using data to fuel creative testing recommendations and the ability to present insights to senior leadership
- A comprehensive knowledge of visual advertising platforms in Social (ideally TikTok, Snap, FB/IG), Display (GDN), and Mobile (App), including ad types, placements, and basic media strategy
- Excellent communication skills (you should be comfortable speaking to clients and internal stakeholders)
- Strong writing and presentation skills, with the ability to tell compelling stories through data
- Proven experience managing and mentoring small teams, fostering growth, and building strong team dynamics
Responsibilities
- Lead creative strategy for a large-scale global account; work directly with media and design teams to execute strategic creative tests
- Manage and mentor a growing team of 3-4 individuals, fostering strong relationships, and providing guidance to help them succeed
- Act as a client advocate, ensuring their goals are clearly communicated and achieved through collaboration with internal teams
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular status updates, strategy presentations, and transparent communication
- Proactively identify opportunities to drive client success and advocate for their needs within the agency
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that use data to tell a story and influence senior leadership decisions
- Craft creative briefs and work directly with account and creative teams to oversee execution from a strategy perspective
- Develop and maintain a creative roadmap that will support critical client goals
- Leverage your own expertise and research as well as various agency resources to proactively recommend new strategic creative directions that could unlock growth opportunities
- Evangelize DEPTโs vision of scalable iterations in creative testing in order to improve advertising performance for our clients
- Track the progress of creative testing efforts and report on trends
- Prepare and present creative audits to clients through creative performance analysis, competitive research, and persona development
- Develop and maintain strategic creative testing roadmaps, form strong testing hypotheses, and prioritize tests based on anticipated impact and past testing results
- Prioritize creative production requests based on several factors (urgency, expected impact, client expectations, client opportunity, etc.)
- Create an effective feedback loop between teams so that performance signals are consistently infused into new creative production. This necessitates organized documentation and dissemination of all creative performance and tests
- Produce thought leadership for DEPT Marketing purposes: blog posts, case studies, white papers, webinars
- Embrace an up-to-date and continually evolving understanding of performance best practices, best-in-class examples across industries/competitors, and white spaces within digital performance channels
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work within a large team with lots of moving pieces
- Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and ongoing work items while effectively managing changing priorities
- Ability to be strong/assertive with strategy recommendations
- Agency experience and comfortability working in a very fast-paced environment
- Experience working with Creator-focused ads or Creator-generated content
