Delivery Manager

Summary

Join GeorgeJon's Delivery Management Team as a Delivery Manager, overseeing the end-to-end execution of client projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the right technical resources. Leverage your deep knowledge of infrastructure and applications (VMware, Windows Server, etc.) to drive project execution and make technical decisions. Bridge cross-functional teams to maintain control over scope, timing, and quality. This is a remote position. You will act as both project leader and operational problem-solver. Contribute to process improvements and team onboarding.

Requirements

• Proven track record managing the delivery of infrastructure or technical projects, preferably in on-premises environments
• Familiarity with enterprise technologies including VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, disaster recovery, and networked storage
• Excellent project governance skills, including timeline management, escalation handling, and stakeholder coordination
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive cross-functional accountability
• Confidence in navigating technical topics and facilitating decision-making alongside engineers and architects
• Experience tracking project progress in service management or project management systems
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and effective in fast-paced, high-performance environments

Responsibilities

• Serve as the operational lead on assigned delivery projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and resource requirements
• Monitor and maintain risk and issue registers, escalating blockers appropriately and driving resolution
• Lead cross-functional delivery meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to track milestones, flag concerns, and communicate status
• Coordinate the assignment of appropriate engineering resources, ensuring skillset alignment with technical project requirements
• Make or facilitate decisions on technical issues during delivery, collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams
• Enforce project scope boundaries and lead the change control process when requirements shift
• Maintain accurate project documentation including decisions, timelines, risks, and deliverables
• Ensure consistent progress reporting to internal stakeholders, including delivery leadership and executive sponsors
• Conduct or support project retrospectives to identify improvement areas and capture institutional knowledge
• Track and report on project health, risks, and delivery metrics across the project portfolio
• Drive delivery process improvements to support scalability and efficiency
• Assist in onboarding new delivery team members or engineers by sharing delivery practices and expectations
• Partner with resource managers and team leads to proactively plan staffing based on project forecasts
• Contribute to the development and evolution of delivery frameworks, workflows, and internal documentation standards

Preferred Qualifications

Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Teams; familiarity with tools like ConnectWise, Asana, or similar is a plus
