Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, finance, or a technology-related field
  • Proven track record in a Business Management or equivalent position or 10+ years in senior leadership or project management role, preferably within a software technology environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex escalations and drive effective solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and communication skills, with a demonstrated capacity to collaborate across all functions and levels
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, with a strong emphasis on prioritization and delivering results under tight deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and effectively manage competing priorities
  • Customer and partner facing experience and executive presence
  • In-depth understanding of product and technology operations, product development lifecycle, technology trends, and agile methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Understand the CPTO’s duties, functions and interactions
  • Intercept incoming requests, manage the CPTO's schedule and prioritize meetings (working with the EA), ensuring all is aligned with product and engineering-focused objectives and strategic priorities
  • Prepare detailed briefings, reports, and presentations that provide comprehensive insights and recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making at the executive level
  • Collaborate with the CPTO and SLT to develop, communicate, and execute the department’s strategic roadmap
  • Support the prioritization of key initiatives across product development and technology innovation and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Implement scalable processes to monitor and report on progress against designed outcomes
  • Collaborate closely and openly with cross-functional teams to align product and engineering growth objectives with overarching company strategies, drive execution and performance
  • Create, Inspect, and manage agendas related to all meetings (Internal and External), ensure relevant content is prepared for the highest impact and actions are taken and followed up on
  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for executive meetings, board updates, and other key stakeholder interactions
  • Analyze complex product or development-related challenges and anticipate potential escalations, collect feedback from the leadership team, develop comprehensive and proactive action plans, and oversee accountability for implementation and effective resolution
  • Act as the point of contact for critical issues, providing timely and effective solutions while ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing product and technology activities
  • Lead and oversee key product and engineering-focused projects or initiatives, from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered within timelines and budgetary constraints
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for decisions, allocation of resources, progress, and reporting back to the CPTO
  • Develop tools and frameworks to support project management and communication across teams
  • Provide feedback to the CPTO team, fostering a culture of trust, engagement, accountability, and collaboration, aligned to Coupa’s values and culture
  • Building a high-performance team that consistently delivers exceptional results
  • Support with onboarding, training, and development programs for new hires focusing on building strong foundations within Product and Technology
  • Maintaining confidentiality is critical to this role
