Summary
rockITdata is seeking a sales professional with 7+ years of experience selling strategy and IT consulting services to the Federal Government. The successful candidate will engage in market research, arrange meetings with potential clients, lead proposal processes, build organizational capacity, collaborate with other departments, and represent the brand. Required qualifications include 7+ years of experience, excellent communication skills, ability to influence stakeholders, superior problem-solving abilities, proficiency with GovWin and federal opportunity tools, and a proactive workstyle.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience selling strategy and IT consulting services to the Federal Government
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence โ both external and internal stakeholders
- Significant experience in relationship-building with a track record of success
- Superior complex problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Proactive workstyle with the ability to develop strategies, plans, and get ahead of opportunities
- Proficiency with GovWin, and federal opportunity tools and databases, including MS Office
Responsibilities
- Engage in the federal governmentโs market research process to continuously qualify opportunities, enhance the governments acquisition strategy, and increase rockITdataโs win probability
- Arrange meetings with potential clients and introduce the appropriate rockITdata leadership member to assist in the sales process
- Lead proposal processes from end to end: Define buyer values, create stakeholder/power map, create win themes, perform basis for award analysis, develop method for delivery, delegate reply responsibilities, ensure cohesive and complete response, test win themes and rough order of magnitude (cost), identify and sign-on strategic partnerships, maintain sales stage and opportunity updates in rockITdataโs pipeline application
- Build organizational capacity with others while acting as a motivational coach to grow other team members
- Collaborate with rockITdataโs contracts department to ensure all NDAs, RFIs, RFPs etc. are completed in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing an opportunity pipeline in SharePoint
- Experience with multiple federal agencies
