Summary
Join Aspire Living & Learning, a non-profit human services agency, as the Director of People & Culture Operations. The position offers remote work flexibility within driving distance of offices in VT, CT, MA, MD, or NH, with some travel required. You will lead and develop an HR team, manage HRIS (UKG Pro), and drive key HR projects. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7+ years in HR, with 5+ years in operations, compliance, or management roles
- Expertise in HR operations, compliance, and benefits administration
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and advanced Excel skills
- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize HR processes, workflows, and systems to enhance efficiency and employee experience
- Oversee compliance efforts, ensuring alignment with labor laws and Aspireβs internal policies
- Manage benefits and compensation programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with Aspireβs goals
- Oversee leave administration and ensure seamless, compliant management of employee leave programs
- Drive HRIS management (UKG Pro), ensuring data integrity, effective reporting, and system enhancements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across HR operations, talent acquisition, and employee engagement
- Lead key projects such as benefits renewals, HR technology implementations, and policy updates
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline HR operations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, managing audits and regulatory filings
- Collaborate with the legal team to assess and mitigate HR-related risks
- Manage benefits programs, including medical, dental, retirement, and wellness initiatives
- Lead compensation strategies, including benchmarking, pay equity, and merit adjustments
- Oversee the HRIS (UKG Pro) to ensure accuracy, reporting capabilities, and alignment with organizational needs
- Partner with IT to troubleshoot, implement upgrades, and integrate new functionalities
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals, providing coaching and mentorship
- Foster collaboration across the People & Culture team to ensure a seamless employee experience
- Drive HR projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR
- Experience with UKG Pro
