Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in product management, software development or 15+ years in tax transformation or tax technology where software development was included in responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements for partnerships and alternative investment vehicles
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business growth and achieving measurable results
- Proven track record of successfully managing SaaS products from conception to launch
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex tax requirements into actionable plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead a team and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies
- Bachelorβs degree in accounting with tax specialization, Computer Science, or related field (MST/MBA preferred)
- Detail-oriented mindset and hands-on approach with a focus on accuracy and compliance in tax reporting
Responsibilities
- Report to the Chief Technology & Product Officer and lead the product development team
- Lead the product development lifecycle for tax-related features and enhancements β from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and enhancements
- Work with other members of the senior leadership team to establish vision and direction for K1x products
- Directly connect with senior leaders at our clients and prospects to validate product direction and vision
- Define and prioritize product features based on customer feedback, business objectives, and market trends
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to translate customer needs into actionable product requirements
- Lead team of tax analysts to: Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identify tax-related requirements and incorporate them into our platform
- Develop and maintain tax-related documentation, including tax calculation methodologies and compliance procedures
- Stay up to date on tax laws, regulations, and best practices in tax reporting for alternative investments
- Work closely with sales, customer success, and support teams to gather feedback and address customer concerns
- Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with tax-related software systems and databases
- Expertise with partnership taxation principles and tax-related implications of investment transactions
- Product management certification (e.g., CPM, PMI-ACP)
- Experience with the patent process
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
- Experience working with AI and machine learning technologies
