Summary

The job is for an Eastern US Regional Sales Management position in the electronics industry at SV Microwave. The ideal candidate should have an engineering/technical background, technical sales experience, and be able to travel. Responsibilities include coordinating sales strategy, managing the demand creation pipeline, achieving sales targets, maintaining regular territory visits, coordinating with functional departments, providing project management oversight, preparing and presenting monthly forecasts, and creating and executing the sales elements of the multi-year Strategic Plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Self-starter with focused analytical problem solving skills
  • 5 to 10 years of technical sales experience in the Electronics industry; RF/MW industry experience preferred but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as computer and presentation skills (Excel / PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel 50% with overnight stays
  • Potential to work from home office in a major metro area with access to major airport

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate sales strategy across regional sales resources consisting of direct outside sales personnel, Manufacturers Reps, and distributors
  • Utilize data mining and analytics to identify new market / customer opportunities
  • Actively manage the demand creation pipeline
  • Achieve or exceed region sales and gross margin targets
  • Maintain active and regular territory visit schedule
  • Coordinate across SV functional departments, and Amphenol divisions, to maximize capture rate on new opportunities and ensure repeat business
  • Provide project management oversight on customer business execution as needed
  • Prepare and present monthly forecast
  • Create and execute the sales elements of the multi-year Strategic Plan
