Summary

Requirements

  • Have 5-10 years of experience in a sales or business development role, ideally focused on selling within the nonprofit or social services sector
  • Are energized by (and ideally have experience in) exploring a new customer segment alongside the BizOps and go-to-market team; understanding these customers, what they care about and value, going deep on understanding their pain points, and using that to create a compelling pitch and continuing to learn and iterate together
  • Energized by team collaboration, sharing ideas and insights, bringing in other team members to help close the deal (not driven by ego, protective of your territory). Excited to share your approach and collaborate with the broader team at True Link
  • Have experience engaging at the executive-level of large organizations, and also energized by building relationships across the organizational hierarchy

Responsibilities

  • Work with True Link’s go-to-market team to understand the pain points and needs of our large nonprofit and government segments
  • Deeply learn about these through secondary research, securing meetings and coffee chats, going to conferences, and ideally bring your own experience and connections working with these types of organizations
  • Build and refine a pipeline by honing-in on the defining features of organizations that could most benefit from our product and service, and feeding back in your learnings and insights
  • Work the pipeline to get meetings, prepare for conversations / pitches, and close new customers
  • Collaborate with our strategy and business operations team to fine-tune our value proposition and pitch for this market segment
  • Provide insights and feedback to help shape our product and service offerings to best meet the needs of this market
