Requirements
- 5+ years of experience and success selling to Solar Companies and/or HVAC contractors
- Demonstrated ability for the art of technical sales: driving urgency, consultative selling and closing business
- Comfort working with the owners and executive teams at companies up to $1B in revenue
- Strong analytical and operational skills to help customers incorporate SPAN into their business
- Have a strong tactical aptitude with experience selling both hardware and software solutions
- Ability to create a long term vision and engage key stakeholders to execute on that vision
- Ability to get things done in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong team-player with proven track record of working effectively with all stakeholders
- Proficient in Salesforce CRM with a strong track record of leveraging the tool to support sales forecasting, account, and opportunity management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive mindset and attitude, and a passion for rapidly scaling residential energy management solutions
Responsibilities
- Lead sales for leading residential solar contractors in the Northwest and extending out to the remaining region
- Prospect, onboard, develop & grow the HVAC/home services contractor segment in the central region delivering sales that meets or exceeds quota
- Work with senior leadership at these companies to onboard SPAN and build their sales strategy and execution plan
- Source and build, through your network and demand SPAN has generated, relationships within the target customers
- Work cross-functionally to ensure programs are developed and executed through marketing, supply chain, product and operations teams
- Work across regions for local execution requirements to ensure accounts deliver forecasted volume
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for a product manufacturer in the renewables or HVAC markets in a two-step distribution go-to-market strategy
- Past experience building out a new vertical for a company, including managing a team
