Summary

Join Newsela as an Enterprise Sales Representative and build relationships with key decision-makers in K-12 school districts across a specified territory (KY, MN, OK, PA, AR, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA). You will sell Newsela's suite of educational products, employing solution-based selling techniques and managing the sales lifecycle. This remote role requires proven success in selling supplemental products to school districts, expertise in MEDDPICC sales methodology, and strong forecasting skills. You'll be supported by a skilled team and have regular exposure to executive leadership. The position offers a competitive base salary, on-target commission, and additional benefits including incentive stock options.

Requirements

  • Be a proven Sales Rep with 5+ years of demonstrated success selling supplemental products to school districts in the K12 market
  • Have extensive experience in networking, prospecting, and building a pipeline in territory
  • Be well-versed in MEDDPICC sales methodology
  • Have proven success forecasting business in the EdTech industry
  • Be based in the territory ( KY, MN, OK, PA, AR, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA)

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with key decision makers at the district level and selling Newselaโ€™s suite of products
  • Employ solution-based selling techniques and solution mapping, along with your strong negotiation and closing skills, to ensure school board preparation and approval
  • Create and maintain an aggressive pipeline
  • Build and adjust strategic account plans for key accounts to move each account through the sales cycle
  • Perform pipeline creation, pipeline management and forecasting
  • Design lead generation campaigns and manage sales through the entire lifecycle while collaborating closely with other departments
  • Be well-versed in your territoryโ€™s funding, state initiatives, demographics, and K-12 education landscape, which will help inform your overall sales strategy

Benefits

  • Base salary: $125,000
  • On-target commission (OTC): $130,000
  • On-target earnings (OTE) : $255,000
