Summary
Join Vanta as an Enterprise Solutions Engineer and lead technical discussions with mid-market and VIP customers alongside the Enterprise Sales team. Your primary goal is to ensure customers fully utilize Vanta to achieve their security objectives and maintain successful customer retention. You will be an integral part of the Enterprise team, providing post-sales consultation and innovative solutions. Your attention to detail and focus on customer needs will drive customer satisfaction and retention. You will also contribute to collecting customer feedback to influence the product roadmap. This role requires strong technical skills, experience in a customer-facing role, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of customer-facing, technical experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer or equivalent title
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure & Operating Systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and cloud application architecture
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to operate in a startup environment that lacks structure of a larger organization
- You are creative, curious. technical, and naturally persuasive
- You are detail-oriented and organized
- You love listening to customers, discussing strategy with colleagues, but also diving into the weeds
- You can interact with various titles and roles within an organization including the technical and security-minded, plus executives within large companies
- General knowledge with a scripting language (Python, Ruby, Bash, and JavaScript) and a desire to expand those skills
Responsibilities
- Own the technical relationship with our customers, including
- Partnering with Customer Success Managers to provide prospects with a seamless onboarding and adoption experience with a focus on key integrations across their cloud infrastructure, version control and security systems
- Supporting and assisting the Success team with aspects of the process including security reviews, implementation plans, technical qualification calls, and quarterly business reviews
- Promptly respond to inbound questions and other support requests from the Customer Success teams
- Develop a deep understanding of our product capabilities, integrations, configurations messaging, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape
- Listen carefully to customers to provide market feedback to the product team and help prioritize functionality needed to drive opportunities within our Mid-Market & VIP segment
- Build product examples, documentation, and other critical resources for our customers side by side with product, Success, and other stakeholders
- Cultivate an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement
- Creatively identify and help drive new programs to improve the pre to post-sales transition
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with REST API development and service integrations is a plus
- Ideally has prior B2B SaaS experience
