Events Manager

Summary

Join Humi, a Canadian employment platform now part of Employment Hero, as our Events Manager! You will elevate our Canadian events program, driving revenue through online, in-person, and hybrid events. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and leadership teams to execute events, build community engagement, and maximize reach. This role demands at least 5 years of Canadian event management experience, strong project management skills, and excellent communication. Requirements

• At least 5 years experience running events end to end in Canada
• An understanding of the Canadian events market
• Proven project and logistics management skills with an ability to prioritise and delegate tasks
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Experience working with industry organisations and third party suppliers
• Experience in acquiring and working with guest speakers
• Confident with online webinar and events technology
• Comfortable conducting site inspections and attending in-person events (some travel may be necessary)

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end execution of events in Canada, including online, hybrid, and in-person
• Run and manage event projects against budgets and timelines
• Build a community of engaged and active event participants in Canada - made up of industry partners, prospects and existing customers
• Work closely with the brand and communications teams, including the design team to ensure events are consistent with content themes and that event collateral is designed to brand
• Work closely with the growth marketing team to maximise Employment Hero’s reach and presence at third party Canadian events through sponsorships and partnerships
• Work closely with Employment Hero’s sales, partnerships, marketing and product teams for event deliverables
• Build strong event relationships with industry organisations and event suppliers in Canada
• Report on event effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement or optimisation
