Summary
Join Arvor Insurance, a startup commercial P&C brokerage, as their first Account Executive. This role will be instrumental in defining the brokerage's operations across various functions, from placement and reporting to finance. You will map out core workflows, provide feedback on company strategy, build carrier relationships, and leverage your network. Initially, you will focus on operational setup, while longer-term opportunities include growing into a leadership position or transitioning into a production role. The ideal candidate is comfortable with detailed work, passionate about the insurance industry, commercially minded, adaptable, and creative. This remote position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Requirements
- Hold appropriate licenses, with a willingness to expand licenses as the firm scales. You may serve as the DRLP
- 5+ years of insurance brokerage experience, with 3+ years serving as a key client and producer contact
Responsibilities
- Map out core brokerage workflows, including SOPs, automations, and more aspirational items, with the broader team
- Provide feedback on company strategy, technology roadmap, workflow decisions, and sales and marketing collateral
- Help build out carrier and wholesaler relationships
- Tap your network of trusted broker and carrier contacts for near term product and strategy feedback, and longer term recruiting and appointments
- Assist with compliance and regulatory requirements
- Develop and / or provide fee
- Contribute as needed - itβs a startup after all!
- Grow your role as an AE - supporting a growing group of producers
- Build out our client service function, hiring and leading teams
- Transition into a production role with the support of tools and teams you designed
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable in the weeds, but you have a keen sense of whatβs high-value, what isnβt, and why
- An insurance nerd. You love this industry and are deeply driven to make it better
- Commercially minded. You know how the business makes money and you want to contribute
- Adaptable. You can move seamlessly through client service, detailed workflow design, and long term planning
- Creative. You are willing to take a step back and contemplate a better way
Benefits
- Remote, with a preference for Eastern or Central time zones
- Anticipated annual base salary range of $100,000 - $150,000, additional compensation in the form of meaningful equity in the business
