Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in business, finance, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or a related role, with a proven track record in SaaS environments
- Strong understanding of online payment processing, payment gateways, and the nonprofit fundraising ecosystem
- Experience negotiating agreements with payment providers and optimizing transaction rates
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach
- Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives to completion
- Experience leading and mentoring teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive payments strategy aimed at increasing the attach rate of our online donation software and maximizing payments volume and profitability
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to inform the product roadmap, ensuring that payment solutions align with customer needs and market trends
- Identify, negotiate, and manage agreements with payment providers to enhance our service offerings and optimize transaction rates
- Analyze payment data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and to drive actionable insights that enhance payment processing efficiency and profitability
- Work closely with nonprofit customers and Customer Success team to understand their payment needs and challenges, and develop solutions that address these issues while enhancing their fundraising capabilities
- Build internal skills and knowledge within our sales and marketing functions to ensure we are maximizing payments-related conversations through all stages of the customer journey
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of payment initiatives and continuously optimize strategies based on data-driven insights
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the nonprofit payments and online giving space to ensure Virtuous remains at the forefront of nonprofit payment solutions
- Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to promote payment solutions and drive adoption among existing and prospective customers
