Summary

Join Bloomreach as our new Global Deal Desk Leader to manage our established Global Desk Team. Reporting to Revenue Strategy & Operations, you will collaborate closely to build a world-class Deal Desk function and partner with our Revenue Teams. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, influence, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be a change agent champion as we scale our team to support Bloomreach's growth trajectory. The successful candidate will establish a world-class Deal Desk function, oversee team management and development, and develop standardized processes. You will utilize data and metrics to identify growth opportunities and serve as a collaborative partner with Sales Leaders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Pricing, or a related Analytics role, demonstrating a solid understanding of pricing concepts, quote-to-cash operations, analytics, and price and deal optimization in a software or technology company
  • Extensive management experience
  • Experience building and scaling Deal Desk organizations
  • Experience collaborating with sales teams and other cross-functional teams to effectively plan, execute and deliver quality results
  • Ability to break down complex ideas and issues and communicate them in simple terms to different levels of the organization
  • Ability to establish collaborative rapport with internal customers, balanced with confident, persuasive, and effective guidance toward solid business decisions
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and logic skills
  • Demonstrated success embracing and managing change
  • Agile, self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to effectively balance multiple tasks and nimbly respond to quick shifting priorities to support key strategic deals or month/quarter close activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to C-level executives
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for advanced analytics and presentation of insights and recommendations
  • Experience with Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ, Ironclad CLM, or similar tools
  • Experience with implementations or process improvements for CPQ, approvals workflow, ticketing requests, dashboard reporting or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field

Responsibilities

  • Establish a world-class Deal Desk function, including the implementation of SLAs, KPIs, and mutually agreeable playbooks and cadences with Sales and Revenue Leadership
  • Oversee the daily management, coaching, and development of the Global Deal Desk team, with a focus on corporate values, employee retention, and the improvement of deal velocity
  • Develop standardized processes and strategies and generate comprehensive documentation to ensure continued growth
  • Utilize data and metrics to identify areas of opportunity for Growth
  • Serve as a collaborative partner with Sales Leaders to continuously evolve the deal desk function as a trusted business partner to both the sales team and other internal teams
  • Act as the escalation and approval point of contact for sales inquiries or guidance related to quoting/pricing constructs, deal vetting/issue resolution, approval guidelines, or processes related to pricing or contractual terms. Serve as an escalation point for custom or non-standard deals
  • Manage the review of pricing/terms for all opportunities, providing initial review and documentation of deal terms to ensure compliance with company pricing constructs, contract terms, and authority delegation
  • Assist in the interpretation and modification of contractual language as part of escalating approvals to ensure deals comply with revenue recognition, financial, and operational objectives and policies
  • Provide expertise for the team and sellers for complex or non-standard deal constructs to craft solutions that align with business rules (e.g., profitability targets, pre-approved fallback T&C’s)
  • Gather and provide inputs or field feedback (e.g., key intel or competitive pricing insights) to the pricing strategy team for pricing tools/calculators, reports, and metrics
  • Influence and execute process/system improvements, sales enablement, and special projects
