Summary

Join Airbnb's Engagement Growth Marketing team as the Growth Marketing Lead, Engagement (Host) and play a critical role in managing Airbnbโ€™s relationship with its Host community. You will drive the strategy, development, enhancement, and execution of lifecycle marketing programs and campaigns across email and push notifications, focused on driving activation, engagement, retention & reactivation of Hosts. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve aggressive growth targets. A typical day involves owning lifecycle campaigns, executing CRM initiatives, working with cross-functional partners, collaborating with Data Science and Analytics, serving as a subject matter expert, maintaining relationships with Marketing Ops and Marketing Technology teams, and conducting regular experimentation. You will also manage project workflows, translate business goals into delivery requirements, conduct user data analyses, and own comprehensive reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of CRM strategy and management, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of CRM/email experience in a consumer-facing, fast-paced ecommerce company
  • Experience working with Analytics and Data Science to build and validate models that improve lifecycle campaign targeting and personalization
  • An agile marketer who is comfortable with an evolving team structure, and willing and able to put on many hats and balance multiple projects
  • Solid track record of successfully managing and executing large-scale, complex B2C email campaigns and cross-functional projects
  • Deep understanding of CRM strategy and management, with strong interest in how it works โ€œunder the hoodโ€ (i.e. tracking, marketing tech stack, tooling)
  • Exceptional project management and organization skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience working directly with Production and Engineering teams to drive technical projects, with a solid understanding of information architecture
  • Results-driven marketer with proven quantitative and analytical skills; should be extremely comfortable with Excel (functions, pivots, etc.) and reporting tools like Tableau
  • Creative, methodical problem-solving skills with focus on efficient execution while balancing big-picture thinking
  • Proactive & independent, always looking for ways to take initiative and improve existing programs/processes
  • Must be a collaborative, cross-functional team player and comfortable partnering with a variety of teams from Engineering to Design
  • Must exhibit superb verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of comfort interpreting results and communicating insights effectively to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Passion for CRM and user engagement
  • Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit

Responsibilities

  • Own & manage lifecycle campaigns that help Airbnb hosts realize their hosting potential and nurtures them throughout their hosting journey
  • Execute flawlessly against a robust deployment schedule of demand driving CRM initiatives, report on results and recommend next steps on scaling
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners (Community, Supply, International, Product, Data Science & Analytics) to identify and execute opportunities to support Hosts throughout their lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics to design, implement, and validate models that power more effective, data-driven lifecycle communications and drive measurable incremental impact
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Host user experiences and related systems / tooling to continuously improve execution and optimizations
  • Maintain strong relationships with Marketing Ops and Marketing Technology teams by having a deep understanding of our tech and tooling needs and working with operations to deliver solutions to fit unique needs
  • Own project management and cross-functional campaign development workflow with dedicated Product, Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, and Creative teams
  • Conduct regular, extensive experimentation to facilitate rapid learning & application of any insights
  • Translate business goals into accurate delivery requirements, including but not limited to: specifying required data, segmentation & targeting logic, and dynamic content requirements
  • Initiate and conduct in-depth user data analyses and experimentation that will directly impact strategy and the program roadmap
  • Own comprehensive daily, weekly, monthly reporting of all relevant CRM KPIs & influence the build of the right dashboards to track and socialize performance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product management experience is a big plus
  • Experience with top-tier ESP a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL is preferred
