Summary

Join Summer.fi, a leading DeFi application, as our Head of Business Development to drive strategic growth and expand our reach. You will forge key partnerships, identify new opportunities, and collaborate with protocols, institutions, and communities. This crucial role involves securing integrations with CEXs, CeFi platforms, and Fintech companies to increase Total Value Locked (TVL) and user acquisition. You will also work closely with the engineering team, develop sales documentation, manage the sales pipeline, and contribute to Summer.fi's strategic direction. The position is fully remote, with a preference for UK or European-based candidates, and offers a competitive salary, cash commission, token grant, and annual bonus.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years in Growth, Sales, or Business Development roles within Crypto or Fintech
  • A solid grasp of Blockchain technology and non-custodial crypto solutions
  • Hands-on experience using DeFi platforms (e.g., Maker, Aave, Compound, Yearn, Beefy, ether.fi ) and a deep understanding of yield optimization strategies
  • Demonstrated success in closing at least one significant deal within the past 18 months
  • A self-starter with the drive and resourcefulness to identify and pursue opportunities independently

Responsibilities

  • Drive Total Value Locked (TVL) and user acquisition for the Lazy Summer Protocol and for Summer.fi features by securing integrations with CEXs, CeFi platforms, and Fintech companies, enabling their users to access them directly or indirectly
  • Work closely with the Engineering team to address technical questions, streamline onboarding and support post-launch improvements
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive sales documentation in collaboration with Product and Design teams as needed
  • Own and maintain the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and clear tracking of progress
  • Contribute to setting the Summer.fi short-, medium-, and long-term strategy, aligning with organizational goals and growth initiatives
  • Represent Summer.fi at industry events, building relationships and advocating for the Lazy Summer Protocol

A strong existing network of potential partners within the Crypto and Fintech sectors

Benefits

  • Salary: Up to $125,000 depending on experience
  • Cash commission: Revenue share with fixed and variable elements, capped at 2x base salary
  • Token grant: Generous token grant based on experience, subject to vesting conditions
  • Annual bonus: Variable based on company performance vs annual targets
  • Fully remote role, with preference for candidates based in the UK or Europe
