Join Matomo's global Senior Leadership Team and help shape the future of privacy-first analytics. As Head of Marketing, you will lead a critical transition from product-led to sales-led growth, focusing on enterprise customers. You'll be responsible for driving global marketing vision, embedding localization strategies, and championing customer obsession. This is a strategic, embedded leadership role designed to create lasting impact and strengthen Matomo's voice in key markets. You will lead regional market leadership, product marketing, demand generation, content creation, and team leadership. This is a fully remote position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Requirements
- 15+ years of marketing experience, with 10+ years in senior leadership roles
- Proven experience leading marketing through a transition from product-led growth (PLG) to sales-led growth (SLG)
- Deep expertise in SaaS marketing, enterprise demand generation, and product positioning
- Hands-on expertise in lead generation, pipeline acceleration, ABM, and lifecycle marketing
- Strong track record supporting complex enterprise sales cycles and strategic GTM partnerships
- Experience with data-driven SaaS products, marketing tech, or analytics platforms
- Demonstrated success in localising brand and product messaging across regional markets
- Proven ability to embed customer obsession into marketing operations and strategy
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools (HubSpot preferred)
- Fluent in English and proficient in either French or German (spoken and written)
Responsibilities
- Act as a full member of Matomo’s global Senior Leadership Team (SLT), alongside Country Sales Leaders and Customer Success heads
- Drive stronger regional alignment across GTM teams (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success)
- Lead the marketing strategy that supports Matomo’s transition from product-led growth (PLG) to sales-led growth (SLG), focused on enterprise ICPs
- Build deep relationships with customers, analysts, agencies, media, and industry bodies
- Lead positioning strategies tailored to buyer needs in France, Germany, the US, and other key markets
- Represent Matomo at key customer, partner, and industry events
- Lead global and regional go-to-market execution for features, product releases, and use cases
- Shape differentiated value propositions for enterprise buyers across priority sectors
- Develop and deliver customer marketing programs that nurture and engage Matomo’s 250,000+ customers and community
- Translate customer insights into compelling messaging, content, and enablement tools
- Build localisation frameworks aligned to cultural, language, and compliance needs
- Design and lead a high-performance demand generation engine to drive measurable pipeline growth
- Build and optimise account-based, multi-channel, and lifecycle marketing campaigns
- Strengthen marketing-to-sales handoffs, improving MQL to SQL conversion rates
- Continuously track KPIs across pipeline contribution, revenue attribution, and campaign success
- Lead a global content strategy that reflects our brand, drives engagement, and supports buyer enablement across all stages of the customer journey
- Own and drive Matomo’s localisation strategy, ensuring marketing initiatives are adapted for France, Germany, the US, and other target markets
- Create content and campaigns that strengthen engagement and loyalty within Matomo’s existing customer and community base
- Develop thought leadership assets amplifying Matomo’s ethical, privacy-first positioning
- Champion customer obsession by embedding the customer voice into all messaging and campaigns
- Build and scale a high-performing, globally distributed marketing team
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and innovation across Marketing and GTM teams
- Embed The Matomo Way: data-driven decision making, customer obsession, ethical practices, and openness
- Provide regular strategic reports and insights to the Executive Team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience running global GTM enablement strategies across multiple regions
- Knowledge of EU data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, ePrivacy) and their impact on marketing
