Join Quandela, a European scale-up providing photonic quantum computers, as their Head of Marketing. Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will bridge the gap between product, communication, and sales teams. Key responsibilities include developing and executing marketing strategies, translating technical specifications into compelling value propositions, and leading market research initiatives. You will collaborate extensively with various teams to create marketing materials and manage brand development. The role also involves overseeing event participation, developing channel marketing strategies, and measuring marketing effectiveness. You will build and scale a marketing team, managing both permanent staff and external partners. This rapidly evolving position requires a strong technical background combined with marketing expertise.
Requirements
- Engineering degree (preferably in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field)
- Minimum 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 2 years in leadership roles
- Proven experience in technology marketing, particularly in deep tech, high-performance computing or cloud computing, or related fields
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic marketing plans for complex technical products
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling messaging
- Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams
- Data-driven approach to marketing with experience in AI project management, analytics and performance measurement
- Led a successful initiative to embed AI into marketing operations: launching AI-powered campaigns, automating workflows, or driving smarter targeting through machine learning. Ability to turn innovation into results, and ready to bring that mindset to our next stage of growth
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company objectives and product roadmaps
- Serve as the critical link between product development, communications, and sales teams to ensure consistent messaging and go-to-market strategies
- Work directly with the product department to translate technical specifications of our quantum products into clear value propositions for different industry segments
- Collaborate with the head of corporate communication, research team, quantum applications teams and products teams to direct the creation of high-quality technical marketing materials, white papers, case studies, and digital content that effectively communicate our quantum computing solutions
- Lead research initiatives to identify market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs in the quantum computing space
- Partner with corporate communication to enhance Quandela’s position as a thought leader in quantum computing through strategic communication initiatives and to formalize a global communication platform
- Oversee participation in industry conferences, technical exhibitions, and corporate events to showcase our quantum technology leadership
- Develop strategies for partner ecosystem growth and enablement
- Implement metrics and analytics to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI
- Provide regular updates to the Chief Growth Officer on marketing performance, strategy implementation, and market insights
- Responsible for building and scaling a well-structured marketing team composed of both permanent staff (junior and senior profiles) and external partners (freelancers). Define resource needs, recruit the right talent, coordinate collaboration between internal and external contributors, and ensure a cohesive team dynamic aligned with the company’s strategic objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of B2B marketing in enterprise technology environments
- Understanding of scientific and research communities’ needs and communication preferences
- International marketing experience
- Familiarity with the European technology ecosystem
