Requirements

  • 8-12 years of experience in operations (Director level and up) and prior experience in VC-backed healthtech companies with impact across multiple geographies, various services, and high complexity of tasks
  • Prior experience in VC-backed healthtech operations with a deep understanding of the insurance system (payer relations, reimbursement negotiation, etc.)
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to translate vision into action
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • A bachelor’s degree is required
  • Mission-driven with a passion for improving access to mental health services
  • A collaborative and adaptable leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical mindset, with the ability to drive data-informed decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Own and build the clinical operations function end-to-end with key KPIs in mind, such as patient outcomes, patient NPS, patient growth/churn, and gross margins (therapy, psychiatry, collaborative care)
  • Own the clinician forecasting model (1099 and W2) and collaborate with the medical organization on hiring, onboarding, training, and management of the medical staff (40+ today)
  • Manage the customer/call center operations team to ensure high-quality patient engagement and streamlined workflows
  • Monitor patient outcomes to support a high level of care for patients
  • Drive the design, implementation, and documentation of new clinical protocols with co-authorship from the medical leadership
  • Strengthen relationships with payers to enhance reimbursement rates and terms
  • Work with the CEO and leadership to identify new growth areas for the organization
  • Identify areas of improvement (efficiency) in the medical organizations. Collaborate with the Head of Product to implement rapid solutions and drive new product features (e.g., patient analytics portal, pre-auth, etc.)
  • Own & optimize the performance of the revenue cycle management team to drive improved reimbursement and revenue capture from payer partners
  • Drive the design, implementation, and documentation of new clinical protocols with co-authorship from the medical leadership
  • Collaborate with Head of Clinical Operations to ensure measurement-based care dashboards are up-to-date, reporting is standardized, and outcomes are being measured against industry benchmarks and internal targets
  • Liaise with legal and monitor federal/state, FDA/DEA regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in behavioral or mental health is a bonus but not required
  • An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred
  • Bonus points if you have a clinical background but are not required (e.g., RN, NP, MD, etc.)
