Summary
Join ResearchGate, a remote-first organization, as a Senior Sales Manager for Marketing Solutions, leading a team to drive revenue for Life Science companies. You will manage all aspects of the sales process, from team development to strategic account planning, and inspire your team to excel. This role requires at least 5 years of people management experience and several years of direct sales experience, with a focus on global account penetration and expansion. You will also be responsible for providing feedback and thought leadership to product and marketing teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of people management experience, and several years of direct sales experience
- Clear customer orientation, with the ability to develop compelling, integrated sales narratives that resonate with customers, including senior leaders
- Experience leading a team toward global account penetration and expansion across multinational customers, including cultivating and nurturing VP and C-Level customer relationships
- Track record of leading initiatives within a senior leadership team in a way that drives innovation, builds buy-in, and ensures execution
- Experience providing feedback and thought leadership to product and marketing teams in order to guide cross-functional priorities and help meet sales objectives
- Experience working with digital advertising, with global Life Sciences experience preferred, particularly as it relates to marketing and content marketing within these industries
- Passion for driving positive customer outcomes
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of senior sales managers who are responsible for helping Life Science companies best use ResearchGate’s Marketing Solutions to achieve their business and marketing objectives
- Manage all aspects of the sales process, from team development to strategic account planning, and be a senior point of contact of our customers
- Inspire and coach a team of front-line Sales Managers to excel and accelerate the success of our clients
- Create impact outside your core role by influencing cross-functional teams and by being an effective organizational leader
- Where required, act as a senior seller, personally managing relationships with high-value strategic accounts
