Summary
Join Velocity Global as an experienced Human Resources Specialist, supporting both employees and clients throughout their employment lifecycle. You will guide employees, manage HR databases, and provide assistance with HR-related matters. You will also support clients with onboarding and inquiries related to their employees. Success requires understanding employment law and collaborating with internal and external teams. This remote position, reporting to the HRx Manager Africa, involves close collaboration with the EMEA team. You will coordinate all aspects of the employment life cycle, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with local employment laws. The role also includes managing HR records and anticipating potential issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of regional Human Resources experience required
- Business proficiency in the English language
- Conflict handling and resolution skills
- Advanced knowledge of employment law in South Africa
- Interest in international business and contributing at a consistently high level
Responsibilities
- Coordinate every aspect of the employment life cycle for our supported employees through close collaboration with global internal teams such as Immigration and Payroll teams, and external parties such as local service providers
- Provide expert-level support to our clients, managing client queries and advising on benefits, international payroll, expense reporting, and other HR matters acting as a regional expert
- Manage client relationships in conjunction with members of the client services team
- Increase employee satisfaction and retention amongst our supported employees with sincerity and passion, always with a customer service mindset
- Improve client satisfaction through quick onboarding timelines and always maintaining our resolution time SLA
- Manage and audit all HR records, including personal information, onboarding documents, personal documents, contract documents, and job-specific information
- Ensure compliance with the local employment law in every process and notify proper points of contact of any rectification needs
- Be aware of applicable Collective Agreements and partner with required teams to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with other teams who require regional-specific expertise (examples include but are not limited to Knowledge Base maintenance, and Product Development)
- Anticipate and identify potential issues, support the root cause analysis, and raise it to the concern teams while ensuring resolution
