Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – must be able to write clear, concise, professional emails free of grammatical errors and typos

Responsibilities

  • Enter and update personnel information in various HR systems
  • Arrange and coordinate interviews, orientations, and other meetings
  • Monitor HR inbox and respond to employee inquiries and requests for employment verification
  • Prepare and file onboarding and offboarding documents
  • Post job openings and review resumes using applicant tracking system
  • Assign compliance training using learning management system
  • Support and process benefits open enrollment
  • Collect, organize, and review data for compliance reporting
  • Revise and reformat HR policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Digitize HR personnel files

Job description

Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SIA) is looking for an aspiring HR Intern to join our team in the San Jose, CA office. The intern will provide administrative support and will gain hands-on experience in various facets of HR, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and compliance. The internship will be part-time with possibility to convert into a full-time regular position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • High-volume data entry: enter and update personnel information in various HR systems
  • High-volume scheduling: arrange and coordinate interviews, orientations, and other meetings
  • Monitor HR inbox and respond to employee inquiries and requests for employment verification
  • Prepare and file onboarding and offboarding documents
  • Post job openings and review resumes using applicant tracking system
  • Assign compliance training using learning management system
  • Support and process benefits open enrollment
  • Collect, organize, and review data for compliance reporting
  • Revise and reformat HR policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Digitize HR personnel files

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Working toward or recently obtained BS in Human Resources Management or similar field

The expected pay rate for this role is $20-25 per hour.
