Join ShopBack as a Senior HR Business Partner and play a critical role in shaping the people agenda across Southeast Asia. You will advise business leaders, drive organizational design, support change management, and leverage people analytics. Responsibilities include leadership development, talent management, fostering a positive culture, and ensuring HR operations are efficient and compliant. You will partner with managers to identify high-potential talent and guide compensation decisions. Success involves influencing business outcomes through people strategies, proactive organizational readiness, and employee-centric HR delivery. Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of relevant HR experience, including 3+ years as an HRBP in high-growth or multi-country environments (tech, e-commerce, or digital industries preferred)
- Demonstrated expertise in Malaysian labour legislation and employee relations
- Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, with strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills (English and Bahasa Malaysia preferred)
- Strong HR generalist skills across performance, talent, employee relations and workforce planning
- Demonstrated comfort with ambiguity, change, and high growth environments
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and tell a compelling people story
Responsibilities
- Advise business leaders and senior stakeholders, aligning people strategy with business growth plans, company directions, and market realities
- Drive organisational design and team structuring initiatives to improve agility, cost-efficiency, and capability readiness
- Support change management and organisational transitions, anticipating people risks and providing timely HR advice
- Use people analytics, dashboards, and AI-generated insights on talent risks, attrition trends, and workforce planning
- Partner with people managers and functional leads to identify high-potential talent, succession gaps, and leadership development opportunities
- Coach people managers to build high-performing and inclusive teams
- Guide compensation decisions in partnership with Rewards, ensuring fairness, consistency, and alignment with data and internal equity
- Support performance enablement, development planning, and talent review processes
- Champion a culture of engagement, accountability, and inclusion in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Facilitate initiatives that strengthen employee experience and belonging, particularly during change or scale-up phases
- Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline HR processes, enhance stakeholder experience, and enable greater focus on strategic work
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure AI is applied responsibly and inclusively across the employee lifecycle
- Advocate for AI literacy across teams and support experimentation with AI tools that unlock productivity, decision-making, and talent growth
- Provide oversight and guidance on employee relations, labour law compliance, and sensitive people matters, escalating appropriately
- Collaborate with People Operations team to ensure smooth delivery of core HR processes (e.g. contract changes, performance outcomes, benefits, offboarding)
