Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and/or current certification in SHRM or PHR
  • 2-5 years of experience in human resources or people operations with a strong HR background
  • Knowledge of employment laws and compliance needs for multiple states
  • Previous experience in PEO management
  • Previous experience in Benefits administration
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to assist in other school programs as needed (Adventures Program, Teacher Assitant, Club Leader, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in any compliance-related reporting requirements
  • Protect WL's interests regarding all local, state, and federal legal employment obligations
  • Ensure that all necessary employment-related reports are submitted
  • Protect the company from the risk associated with violating labor laws
  • Work with PEO and WL People Operations Team to ensure the development and implementation of appropriate and compliant human resource policies
  • Maintain the companyโ€™s Employee Handbook by initiating applicable updates and revisions
  • Create and maintain HR-specific policies and documentation, including PTO, PSSL, Employment Agreements, Non-Disclosure agreements, Authorizations with partners, and school waivers
  • Understand and manage the company's PEO software module and regulations
  • Maintain relationship with PEO and implement changes to company-wide processes
  • Coordinate with PEO providers on compliance issues such as workersโ€™ comp and unemployment insurance regulations
  • Respond to all unemployment and wage claims and employment verifications
  • 401K management
  • Health Benefits research, maintenance, and implementation
  • Manage relationships and effectively communicate with benefits providers
  • Work with the People Operations Team to maintain the company's overall health
  • Work closely with the People Operations Employment Specialist to initiate best practices and communicate administrative tasks effectively to WL employees
  • Assist WL with supplemental positions throughout the company as needed (Adventures, Teacher Assistant, Club Leader, etc.)
