Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications: Ravenous appetite to set appointments for field sales
  • Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people all day
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with existing and potential customers
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Eager to expand the company with new sales, clients, and territories
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry
  • Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude when reaching the next potential client
  • Knowledge of the sales process from initiation to close
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • High school degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Customer rapport and relationship management; making multiple outbound calls to existing customers to update contact information, confirm orders, identify new sales opportunities
  • Making outbound calls to potential customers (average minimum of 72 outbound calls each day)
  • Booking appointments and setting face to face meetings for sales team
  • Researching and qualifying potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
  • Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc
  • Create, update, and manage a list/database/CRM of prospective clients
  • Providing weekly reports to management (should include metrics on number of calls made for week, summary of appointments set, and highlights)
  • Presenting and delivering information to potential clients
  • Answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions
  • Working with the field sales team when closing a sale
  • Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics
  • Building pipelines with channel partners and team members to close sales
  • Maintaining a database (CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information
  • Closing sales and working with clients through the closing process (success will be measured by increase in sales percentage)
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in medical device/product or technical outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience preferred
  • Experience in medical device/product government sales or government contracting preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM preferred
