Junior Account Executive

Join PlatformEngineering.org as a Junior Account Executive and help scale our reach and deepen our impact. This full-cycle role involves driving outreach, shaping messaging, and closing partnerships with platform teams at leading companies. You will work across the entire sales funnel, from crafting creative campaigns to leading discovery calls, collaborating closely with content, community, and services teams. This role is ideal for proactive, curious, and experimental individuals. We are a remote-first team valuing flexibility across time zones, with some US coverage preferred. You will build and manage a pipeline of high-quality leads, craft personalized outreach, lead engaging discovery conversations, design and run lean outreach campaigns, collaborate with internal teams, suggest content ideas, improve workflow using AI tools, and track and iterate on performance for continuous growth.
Requirements
- 1β3 years of experience in B2B sales, partnerships, or growth (SDR, AE, Growth Marketer, etc.)
- A strong interest in developer tools, platform engineering, or cloud-native tech
- Excellent communication skills β both written and verbal
- A self-starter mindset: experimental, resourceful, and action-oriented
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Clay, Amplemarket, or similar
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a pipeline of high-quality inbound and outbound leads
- Craft thoughtful, personalized outreach via email, LinkedIn, events, and other channels
- Lead engaging discovery conversations to understand technical pain points and align our offerings
- Design and run lean outreach campaigns that drive real engagement
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine our messaging and positioning
- Suggest content ideas (e.g., webinars, guides, playbooks) to support your outreach efforts
- Continuously improve your workflow using AI tools and a learning-first approach
- Track, measure, and iterate on your performance to drive continuous growth
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a startup or in a fast-moving, cross-functional team
- Background in B2B SaaS, DevOps, or technical infrastructure
- A track record of using AI to streamline sales or marketing workflows
- Comfortable engaging with engineers and technical decision-makers
- Youβve interacted with our content or attended PlatformCon
