Summary

Join Zinc Network, a leading organization combating global challenges, as a Junior Research Executive. This role focuses on a countering gender-based disinformation project, involving desk research and qualitative interview analysis. You will lead desk research, support qualitative research planning, analyze results, draft reports, and present findings to clients. The position offers remote work flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to impactful research. Based in the UK or remotely, you will work closely with a dedicated research team. The successful candidate will possess strong research, analytical, and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Understanding of online harms, particularly gender-based harassment and disinformation campaigns, and / or knowledge of digital rights, platform policies and content moderation practices
  • Academic research and/or literature reviews
  • Analysis skills – finding the β€˜story’ to tell in both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Report writing
  • Fluency in English

Responsibilities

  • Lead desk research to analyse GID targeting female politicians - including mapping case studies, key actors and narratives across social media platforms, assessing campaign impact, and identifying potential interview subjects in Poland, Armenia, and Georgia
  • Support qualitative research planning including developing interview guides, coordinating with third party suppliers, and supporting interview preparation and execution
  • Analysis of qualitative results
  • Report drafting
  • Presentation of research findings (both written and in PowerPoint)
  • Represent Zinc at high-level meetings with clients and project partners

Preferred Qualifications

  • PowerPoint presentation (both written and verbal)
  • Experience with qualitative primary research (such as focus groups and/or in-depth interviews)
  • Knowledge of Polish, Armenian or Georgian would be beneficial
