Summary
Join Apogee Therapeutics as their Legal Operations Manager and become the central point of contact for contract management. This newly created role involves managing the contract request process, working with all company functions, and administering the contract management system. You will provide operational support to the legal department, requiring strong customer service and a willingness to assist employees. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of paralegal and legal operations experience, preferably in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry. A bachelor's degree or paralegal certification is required, and experience with contract management systems (Agiloft preferred) is essential. Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of paralegal and legal operations experience at a top law firm and/or in-house, preferably providing corporate and transactional legal support to companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and/or healthcare or life sciences industries
- Undergraduate degree and/or Paralegal certification required
- Must have experience with contract management systems, Agiloft strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide legal operations support for the legal department including responding to questions regarding legal processes, the contract lifecycle management system
- Develop and implement training documentation and live virtual training sessions regarding legal processes and best practices, the contract management system workflows and requirements
- Foster strong and collaborative relationships of trust and create an environment of open communication with various departments of the company who contribute to the company’s drug discovery and development efforts
- Actively seek to identify ways to improve processes, procedures and tools to enhance efficiencies in the contracting process
- Develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the company’s business, code of responsibility, its people, products, markets, facilities, customers and competitors and utilizes that knowledge
- Contribute to cultivating a company culture that reflects a strong commitment to ethics and patients and Apogee’s core values of caring, originality, resiliency and egoless
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with publicly traded companies a plus
- Mature and professional demeanor with a high degree of self-motivation and high level of business acumen
- Outstanding communication skills, ability to communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly, relationship-building and influencer skills
- Independent judgment, attention to detail, a desire to learn, and an ability to take on and prioritize a wide variety of complex matters while meeting tight deadlines
- Self-motivated, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and to manage the expectations of internal clients
