Summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their North Creek Crossings at Meriam Park affordable housing complex in Chico, CA. The role involves performing maintenance functions across various areas, including repairs and upkeep of rental units, residential common areas, office, and grounds. The pay range is $18 - $20 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Less than 1 year of relevant work experience
  • 2 years’ experience in HVAC, basic electrical, basic plumbing, minor fixes such as patching a wall, fixing a doorknob, etc
  • Basic familiarity with computers and tablets
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability for on-call activity during off-hours for urgent needs
  • Ability to speak and understand basic English

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs in such areas as, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware accessories, masonry, painting and basic electrical, plumbing and HVAC
  • Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating procedures
  • Assist in preparing vacant apartments for market ready status in accordance with company standards
  • Maintain grounds and curb appeal through snow removal, landscaping, and trash management activities
  • Be available for on call activity during off hours and emergencies based on a pre-determined schedule and need

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational or technical training
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • CAMT certification
