Requirements
- Proven experience as a Marketing Design Lead or in a similar role
- Strong design skills, ideally in multiple disciplines, to execute great work
- Experience effectively managing agency and freelance resources to extend marketing design capacity
- Comfortable navigating a fast-paced and dynamic early startup environment
- A strong portfolio showcasing diverse creative work across multiple channel
- Deep understanding of design principles, branding, and storytelling
- Proactive, strategic, and self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency with creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other relevant platforms
- At least 7 years experience
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the design vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the companyβs overall brand and business goals
- Oversee the ideation, development, and execution of creative campaigns and assets across digital, print, video, social, and other channels
- Manage agencies and freelancers β ideally pulling from your own network of trusted resources β to ensure excellent execution. Own the resourcing strategy as the company and the marketing team evolve, determining the right balance of in-house and external resources
- Codify the recent evolution of our brandβs visual identity, updating brand guidelines to ensure consistency and integrity across all creative assets
- Work closely with marketing, product, and other departments to align marketing design efforts with broader strategic objectives
- Present creative concepts and campaigns to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback while maintaining the integrity of the creative vision
- Utilize analytics and insights to evaluate the effectiveness of creative campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage the creative budget, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience leading a brand redesign or evolution / refresh
- Previous experience working on large integrated campaigns
- Previous experience in both an agency environment and in-house at a tech startup
- Knowledge of DTC / Ecommerce space
- Command of several design disciplines (animation, web design, etc.)
