Summary

Join Babbel's new exploratory unit in Berlin as a Marketing Team Lead for a blended learning German course designed for migrants. Develop and execute marketing strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels, strategically planning and optimizing campaigns based on KPIs. Execute marketing activities hands-on, collaborating with team members, and lead a growing marketing team. Work closely with colleagues from other disciplines to ensure a seamless user experience. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented individual with a strong blend of strategic and hands-on marketing skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital marketing and a passion for exploring new tools and strategies.

Requirements

  • You proactively seek out and test the most effective acquisition strategies
  • With a strong blend of strategic and hands-on marketing skills, you can communicate your plans clearly to senior management while also enjoying rolling up your sleeves to work directly on campaigns and assets yourself
  • You have 7+ years of experience implementing and managing different digital marketing channels and are excited about exploring new features and tools
  • You are motivated by learning and ready to grow quickly, as the team is scaling
  • You enjoy solving challenges by taking the initiative and tapping into your professional network for insights and ideas
  • You’re a team player who thrives in a small, fast-moving, and experimental environment, surrounded by motivated colleagues, while benefiting from the resources of a larger company

Responsibilities

  • Develop, oversee, and execute the marketing activities that attract participants to our new migrant focused language courses
  • Strategically plan, set up, review, and adjust marketing channels and materials to improve performance based on efficiency KPIs
  • Execute the marketing activities hands-on, in cooperation with other team members
  • You will also take on related tasks dependent on your skills and needs
  • Lead an initially small marketing team and scale the team going forward
  • Work closely with colleagues from other disciplines to provide a great end-to-end user experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the migration space is a plus
