Summary

Join BeatBox Beverages as a National Accounts Sales Intern and contribute to the growth of innovative beverage brands. This internship, based in Chicago or Los Angeles, involves working directly with the National Accounts Sales team to promote sales, achieve distribution goals, and build relationships with retailers and distributors. You will conduct brand training, manage promotions, assist at events, and perform administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication, analytical, and sales skills, currently pursuing a bachelor's degree and able to work full-time.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree
  • Able to work full-time; 40 hours per week
  • Live in the market where a sales intern is required
  • Must be 21 years old or over
  • Self-starter/self-motivated
  • Reliable car and a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; ability to work nights and weekends (work week not to exceed 40 hours)
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and sales skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office–Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent oral, analytical, written, and communication skills
  • Dynamic public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze market and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges
  • Able to convey information clearly, both in writing and verbally, and build strong working relationships
  • Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in proposals, agreements, and other documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools like PowerPoint and Excel to provide sales support by creating presentations, reports, and sales materials
  • Collaborative team player to assist in the development and execution of national account strategies
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Responsibilities

  • Daily communication with the national account team
  • Work against target lists built from goals and objectives
  • Analyze and develop sales opportunities from the company-provided sales software
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with BeatBox Beverages’ team, wholesalers, accounts, and consumers
  • Conduct ongoing brand training with retailers and distributor partners
  • Schedule and execute weekly promotions and samplings (where legal)
  • Assist at special events and festivals in the territory
  • Perform administrative tasks as they are assigned (expense reports, monthly work calendar)
  • Maintain and improve BeatBox Beverages account standards including merchandising and quality assurance
  • Maintain professional image and demeanor at all times
  • Provide a weekly recap of activities with national account lead(s)
  • Maintain communication when needed with the marketing team, operations team, field sales team, distributor team, and key retailers
  • Work both independently and within a team environment
