Join Silverback Strategies as a Paid Media Team Lead and lead a team of 1-3 paid media experts while managing your own client portfolio. You will coach and mentor your team, ensuring best-in-class client experiences. This role requires strong paid media strategy and execution skills across various platforms (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok). You will collaborate with other teams (Creative, SEO, Analytics) to develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies. The ideal candidate possesses 5-6 years of paid media experience, 1-2 years of people management experience, and proven agency experience. Requirements

  • 5-6 years of experience (minimum) in paid media digital/performance marketing
  • 1-2 years of experience (minimum) as a direct people manager
  • Previous agency experience is a MUST-HAVE! Must have strong experience managing both Paid Search AND Paid Social campaigns. (Our main platforms are Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and TikTok.)
  • 3 years of experience (minimum) serving as the main point of contact on client engagements; strong comfortability being client-facing
  • Strong experience driving/leading paid media account strategy
  • Experience collaborating with Creative resources and contributing to creative briefs + driving paid social performance creative
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Analytics 4 and Google Sheets/Excel

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a people manager and team lead for 1-3 Media & Creative direct reports
  • Coach your direct reports on performance & professional development through weekly 1:1s and ad hoc mentoring
  • Promote a positive, collaborative work environment
  • Maintain visibility into your direct reports’ individual clients
  • Play a key role in client satisfaction through quality assurance, strategic relationship management, and acting as a point of escalation when needed
  • Lead professional development conversations with direct reports on a frequent basis, as well as formal quarterly conversations and biannual reviews
  • Serve as a Paid Media “thought leader” within the agency — help drive Silverback’s Media & Creative product(s) forward through proactive, cutting-edge industry knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for Paid Media & digital marketing
  • For multiservice clients, work closely with counterparts on SEO to build a well-rounded marketing strategy across paid and organic channels
  • Collaborate with Silverbackers across Creative, Analytics, SEO & Content, and Client Services teams
  • Leverage internal project management tool(s) and processes to ensure consistent, high quality client delivery across your own work & your team’s work
  • Work with the Senior Director of Paid Media (who this position will report into) to plan & forecast employee resourcing, utilization, and hours on a rolling basis
  • Assist ad hoc with the continuous improvement of Silverback’s workflows and processes
  • Manage a portfolio of 2-3 of your own individual, unique clients
  • Act as the main strategic lead for your assigned clients, building & continuously optimizing winning paid media strategies based on clients’ goals/KPIs
  • Execute tactically within paid search and paid social platforms for your assigned clients. (In addition to its supervisory responsibilities, this is a “hands-on-keyboard” position!)
  • Maintain cutting-edge knowledge and strong tactical abilities within Paid Search (Google; Microsoft/Bing) and Paid Social (Meta; LinkedIn; TikTok) ad platforms
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all things Paid Media for your 2-3 “owned” clients; lead biweekly and ad hoc client calls to build & maintain strong client relationships
  • Establish expertise within assigned clients’ industries; proactively share industry trends and updates with clients to demonstrate the value of our agency’s partnership
  • Collaborate closely with internal teammates on our Creative and Analytics teams to drive successful creative strategy/performance & analytics measurement, tag management, etc
  • Regularly create, analyze, and present insightful and actionable Paid Media performance reports directly to clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Tag Manager and Supermetrics is a plus!
  • Experience leading teams or successfully developing junior team members is strongly preferred
