Summary

Join Calm, a leading mental health company, as a Partnerships & Business Development Manager to drive strategic partnerships with global companies. You will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing partnerships that align with Calm's mission and contribute to its growth. This role involves working cross-functionally with various teams, including Legal, Marketing, Content, and Product, to ensure successful partnership launches and management. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in international partnerships development, strong commercial and negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of contract negotiation processes. Requirements

  • Proven experience in international Partnerships development
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills with experience with financial modeling
  • Ability to identify when it is right for Calm to say No to a partnership
  • Experience owning the contract negotiation process, interpreting legal documents, negotiating terms and working with attorneys to complete agreements
  • Strong communication & storytelling: proficient in executive communication internally and externally
  • Keen sense for prioritization, both internally and externally with partners
  • A self-starter that isn’t afraid to step in when needed
  • You understand that collaboration and team play is key to success
  • You are able to work in a fast-paced, exciting environment and across external and internal teams to deliver
  • Results driven, creative thinker, willing to push the boundaries
  • 5+ years of related experience in Business Development or Partner Management at a tech company
  • A self-starter who is able to proactively and independently drive progress across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Passion for understanding our partners’ businesses and finding ways to deliver win-win value
  • Ability to present in both formal and informal settings

Responsibilities

  • Identify, negotiate, manage prospective partnerships which drive positive-sum outcomes and renew strategic deals
  • Identify and scope new opportunities to grow partnerships and unlock additional value for Calm, our partners and the consumers
  • Build relationships and credibility within partner organizations
  • Be the voice of the partner within Calm, and navigate both internal and external priorities
  • Lead a virtual team of cross-functional experts (Legal, Marketing, Content, Product, etc) to deliver best-in-business partnership deals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with a range of international partners, both small and large, across a variety of markets and cultures
  • Experience working with a subscription business, and/or major international loyalty program, and/or international distribution partnerships
  • Signed, managed and renewed partnership deals
  • Experience at, or working with, a creative agency
