Summary

The job is for a Payroll & Benefit Geek to manage the payroll and benefits administration for Insurify's 100+ US employees. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • Proven experience in a payroll/benefits role with 4+ years of payroll management experience and 2+ years of benefits management experience
  • Fluent in English (knowledge of Bulgarian a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the end-to-end payroll process for 100 US employees
  • Ownership of health, wellness, and financial benefit areas including plan assessment/design, administration, and implementation
  • Manage leave of absences to ensure proper administration and compliance with the FMLA, ADA, and Workers Compensation
  • Responsible for ongoing review and improvement of internal processes and tools
  • Ownership of overall communication strategy to ensure current and new employees understand their pay and benefits package
  • Responsible for ensuring people data is accurate in our systems and partnering with key stakeholders to assist with reporting needs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to implement new tools and processes resulting in measurable results
  • Experience working at a start-up or company with 50-200 people
  • Significant experience in the knowledge, design and implementation of HRIS and benefits programs
  • Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and emerging regulatory issues preferred
  • Knowledge of state payroll tax issues
  • Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, etc.)
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in working through complex transactions, with the ability to analyze, problem solve and communicate observations and recommendations
