People & Operations Manager

Summary
Join Standard Bots as our People and Operations Manager and support the growth of our startup. You will develop expertise in HR operations, facilities management, and administrative functions, making a tangible impact on our company culture. This remote role (US residents only) requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual to build and execute scalable people processes and improve operational efficiencies. You will manage the employee lifecycle, maintain records, support payroll and benefits, ensure legal compliance, and manage vendor relationships. Additionally, you will oversee workplace experience, technology systems, and internal communications. This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of HR and/or operations experience, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes, from offer letters through offboarding
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Support payroll processing and administration of benefits programs through our PEO platform
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, and company policies
- Facilitate and ensure compliance with local, federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Create and maintain HR policies, handbooks, and procedural documentation with an eye towards creating a best-in-class employee experience
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts for company services
- Coordinate with leadership on workspace needs and improvements
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and documentation
- Oversee company technology systems administration (access management, security protocols, etc.)
- Support internal events and special projects
- Manage company-wide operational communications
- Document and standardize key business processes
