Summary

Join Owner.com, a rapidly growing, remote-first company, as their People Operations Specialist! You will support the People Operations team, optimizing processes to support Owner's rapid growth. This role involves collaborating with various teams to implement best practices and processes, driving operational excellence and a positive team member experience. The position is 100% remote and based anywhere in the United States. You will be responsible for employee onboarding and offboarding, driving employee engagement, managing data, supporting operational execution, and providing administrative support. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 + years of demonstrated experience in a People Operations support role, preferably in a start-up environment and supporting a global workforce
  • Proficiency in HR tech stack, preferably Rippling HRIS & Lattice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well across all levels and teams of the organization
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective at managing deadlines, ensuring a smooth execution of day-to-day operations

Responsibilities

  • Support the new hire onboarding process, partnering with our Talent team and cross functional leaders, to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new team members
  • Support team member offboarding ensuring compliance across geos and jurisdictions
  • Drive employee engagement & recognition initiatives; champion maintaining a positive organizational culture through communication and company programs
  • Maintain and update employee records in the company’s HRIS, ensuring all data is accurate, confidential, and compliant
  • Assist with audits and reporting to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws
  • Support the development and implementation of People Ops policies, processes and programs, ensuring adoption and compliance
  • Provide administrative support and other related responsibilities as assigned
  • Support team members through outreach of general inquiries

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR/People Operations certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) a plus
  • Understanding of labor laws, HR policies, and best practices in the US; Canada LATAM a plus
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment with the agility and enthusiasm to adapt quickly, tackle diverse challenges, and contribute effectively to a high-energy team
  • Ability to identify opportunities and find creative solutions for People Operations processes and people issues
