Summary

Join Samsara's team as a People Operations Specialist and help shape the future of physical operations. As a key member of the People Operations team, you will partner with senior team members to implement and execute people processes, systems, policies, and programs. This is a remote position open to candidates based in Mexico.

Requirements

  • 4 years experience within a HR/People team for a fast-growing, global company
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
  • Experience in triaging business processes in Workday and managing EIB data loads
  • Experience maintaining and auditing processes for data accuracy
  • Experience supporting HR compliance and processes on a global scale. Experience with OFCCP, EEO, or SOX compliance
  • Strong attention to detail, customer service presence, and organizational skills
  • Experience managing cross-functional relationships and partnering closely with groups such as Employee Relations, Payroll, Recruiting, Finance, or Legal

Responsibilities

  • Serve as People Ops team member by providing Tier 2 support for employees for all HR inquiries and requests via Workday, Slack, and Zendesk
  • Triage Workday for employee lifecycle processes: hires, onboarding, job changes, terminations. Regularly audit integration data feeds and data entry for accuracy
  • Assist in data audits, compliance audits and filings, payroll processing, and shared services Tier 1 support
  • Partner with People Operations team members in documenting team processes, โ€œhow-toโ€ guides for company intranet resources, communications or training materials for process enhancements and updates
  • Partner with People Technology to test, audit, and maintain data integrity and provide feedback where enhancements can be made
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiencies of the People department
  • Assist in Project Management of technology enhancements or process improvements. Manage expectations and scope, propose and manage timelines, document and deliver solutions. Coordinate conversations with business partners and People Technology
  • Scope incoming project requests. Document clear and detailed functional requirements, creation of project plans, create and manage testing plans, project success metrics, cross-functional communications, and timelines
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsaraโ€™s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
