Summary
Join HopSkipDrive's People team as a People Business Partner and act as an internal advisor, supporting diverse stakeholders and teams. You will be responsible for employee relations, process optimization, compliance, and developing employee retention strategies. This role involves advising on organizational design, career development, and change management, as well as conducting employee investigations and delivering compliance training. You will also develop company policies and manage accommodation and leave requests. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in a similar role, a bachelor's degree, and exceptional communication and analytical skills. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in supporting business leaders, while taking the lead in employee relations, policy development, and/or conflict resolution as a People Partner/HRBP
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent years of professional experience (e.g. Business, Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development, Strategic Management, etc.)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Leveraging data and analytics to identify solutions, with a focus on analytical thinking and effective communication in problem-solving
- Highest level of empathy and integrity in management of confidential information
- Creativity and a willingness to think bigger, stretch further and challenge conventional thinking
- Excellent people skills β ability to connect with employees, partners, and leaders, build partnerships, and communicate effectively at every level of the organization
- Proven successful track record and knowledge in organizational and employee development, performance management, employee relations, and change management
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable employment and dispute resolution laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies
- Sense of urgency with the strong ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to stakeholders, offering guidance on organizational design, career development, change management, and team strategy
- Act as the primary contact for employees within your respected business units for day to day inquiries, providing support & guidance
- Conduct employee investigations, including gathering statements with making recommendations, and bringing the closure
- Deliver compliance and development training for employees and managers, covering workplace conduct, legislative changes, and internal policies
- Develop and maintain company policies, procedures, and handbooks to ensure alignment with laws and regulations
- Manage accommodation, Workers' Compensation, and leave requests in accordance with internal policies and legal requirements
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and collaborate with People Operations, Legal, and external experts to ensure compliance and consistency

- Collaborate closely with People & Talent team members to manage projects or provide input on team programs and practices
