Summary

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a product-centric or analytical role, with at least 1+ years indicating a highly proficient understanding of SQL
  • 1+ years experience in A/B testing or statistical methodologies
  • Comfortable with analytics tools like Segment, Amplitude, Looker, or Optimizely
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic insights
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and able to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative, β€œcoach mentality” who values sharing knowledge and working well with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel to the Oakland office monthly to collaborate with other Earnies

Responsibilities

  • Lead data-driven experimentation to improve the client loan application experience
  • Develop and maintain product analytics tracking across web and mobile platforms
  • Partner with Product, Research, and Design to define customer personas and roadmap priorities
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to validate analytics solutions and drive model development
  • Work cross-functionally to improve performance visibility and make actionable recommendations
  • Design and execute complex statistical models and support major company initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for new product analytics initiatives, improved reporting processes, or enhanced testing strategies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with R or Python
  • Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran) for transforming raw data
  • Experience modeling financial portfolios (especially student loans)
  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing and customer segmentation
  • Exposure to full product development lifecycle from concept to implementation
  • Familiarity with internal control requirements and data governance
