Requirements

  • Strong understanding of commercial product management process and disciplines, with a specific application on the security product lifecycle
  • Highly developed understanding of software development methodologies including agile
  • Comprehensive understanding of the commercial side of product planning, development and execution
  • Knowledge of finance management practices, with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue
  • Strong business acumen
  • Product management experience with broad exposure to technology and project management
  • Proven communication, influencing, negotiation, interpersonal and report writing skills
  • Ability to frequently interact with a variety of stakeholders and team members, normally involving matters between functional areas, other Datacom divisions, customers and the company

Responsibilities

  • Developing and driving the business case for changes to the product offering or its delivery to market to maximise product growth
  • Developing and contributing significantly to the overall marketing strategy for designated product portfolio
  • Managing product budgets and continually monitoring actual product performance against forecasted performance
  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Collaborating with other key business stakeholders such as Sales, Customer, Marketing teams to drive the growth and market success of new product(s) initiatives
  • Directing and implementing modifications and product enhancements the product(s) to maximise product revenue and growth
  • Leading the development of strategic product roadmaps, budgets and learning collateral that are consistent with corporate objectives
  • Identifying new market opportunities and analysing competitor activity
