Product Owner

Summary

Join Mark43's public safety analytics and data platform team as a Product Owner, connecting stakeholders, technical teams, and end-users to ensure our product meets the needs of public safety professionals and boosts operational efficiency. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to maximize the value delivered by our teams, ensuring that the backlog and sprint planning align with our roadmap priorities. Responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, product vision and strategy, backlog management, cross-functional collaboration, and training and support. The ideal candidate will have five years of experience in B2B SaaS product management, technical product management experience, and strong communication skills. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is required. Mark43 offers a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Requirements

• Five years of experience in B2B SaaS product management
• Technical product management experience is advantageous
• Daily, hands-on collaboration with engineering teams
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
• Demonstrated success in launching products and features for clients
• Experience working closely with internal stakeholders
• Proficient in communicating with clients and third-party vendors
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns
• Meet with internal stakeholders to seek input and prioritize initiatives
• Leverage your understanding of our end users and market demands to contribute to the product vision and roadmap
• Prioritize and define the product backlog based on stakeholder input, business value, and technical feasibility
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and user satisfaction
• Use data-driven insights to continuously iterate and enhance the product
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting public safety data
• Prioritize the product backlog in line with stakeholder input, business value, and technical feasibility
• Write clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams
• Weekly grooming with the team to maintain a healthy backlog with prioritized stories ready for development
• Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure a user-centric product design
• Partner with engineering teams to facilitate the successful delivery of product features, ensuring alignment with technical capabilities
• Collaborate with growth, client support, and client success teams to roll out and promote adoption among clients
• Develop training materials and provide support to end-users to maximize product adoption
• Advocate for users to ensure a positive and productive experience
