Summary

Join our team as a Proposal Manager and support the Business Development team, reporting to the Vice President of Sales. This hybrid, full-time, mid-level position focuses on developing compliant, high-quality, and timely proposal content for DoD and Federal customers. The role primarily involves remote work with occasional travel to the National Capital area. You will be responsible for managing the proposal lifecycle, requiring expertise in proposal writing and management, along with strong organizational, communication, and project management skills. A minimum of eight years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with proficiency in various software applications. US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are also necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience writing and managing proposals with major Federal agencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Professional Writing, Creative Writing, or a related field
  • Four (4) additional years of proposal writing and managing proposals with major Federal agencies may be substituted for the degree
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and proactive communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in project management functions including resource planning, scheduling, and task delegation
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technical writing/editing
  • Demonstrated team leadership and management skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of version control management practices and technologies
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a US DoD Government Clearance at Secret level or higher
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to commute to the designated onsite work location as required

Responsibilities

  • Develop compliant, high-quality, and timely proposal content throughout the proposal lifecycle for DoD and Federal customers
  • Manage the proposal lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

  • APMP Foundation Certification or equivalent knowledge of best practices in proposal development
  • Completion of Shipley Core courses or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and other web-based collaboration applications
  • Local to Northern Virginia is helpful, but not required
