Quoting Specialist

Summary

The Quoting Specialist role at Xometry involves organizing and entering custom quote requests, reviewing RFQ documents, engaging with sales personnel, maintaining quote databases in real-time, and providing customer support. The ideal candidate should have an associate degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a manufacturing or technology field, with technical aptitude, attention to detail, high-volume data entry experience, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Data Entry into Xometry Quote Platform
• Retrieve Quote Request information from both Automated and Manual channels
• Organize information for engineering review
• Dimension Drawing review
• RFQ document comprehension
• CAD file review
• Engage with Sales personnel for document clarification and correction
• Complete online and offline templates with available information
• Produce DRAFT quotes per approved methodology
• Present / Submit DRAFT quotes to Quote Engineers
• Maintain quote databases in a real-time basis
• Review and set-up custom quotes using Xometry’s platform
• Review 3D models and 2D drawings for the purpose of quoting and design-for-manufacturing feedback
• High-volume data entry, transfer, and management
• Performs all work in compliance with Xometry's quality and safety systems, policies and procedures
• Review Salesforce Cases and Emails for service requests
• Answer requests whenever possible
• Direct requests to subject matter experts as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferably in a manufacturing or technology related field
• Technical aptitude to pick up general technical aspects of various manufacturing technologies
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is a plus
• Manufacturing background
• Customer service oriented
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Previous experience with high-volume data entry and management
• High energy and comfortable interfacing with coworkers
• Communicates effectively in a polite and enthusiastic manner
