Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven track record of success in outbound B2B SaaS enterprise sales
  • Proficiency in consultative, value-driven selling
  • Foundational knowledge of marketing concepts and web analytics terminology
  • Prior experience with GDPR-compliant software sales or selling for companies like Adobe Analytics, Amplitude, AT Internet, Contentsquare, Posthog, or Snowplow is highly desirable
  • Experience in driving new business via outbound tactics in mid-market or enterprise segments, consistently exceeding sales targets and delivering strategic, multi-year partnerships
  • Extensive knowledge of the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, proposal writing, and deal negotiation
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Fluency in German or French (native or fluent) and English is required; proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Self-motivated and adaptable

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a targeted outbound sales strategy to acquire mid-market and enterprise clients across Europe, focusing on high-value Tier 1 customers in regulated industries and tech companies
  • Use account-based approaches to identify and qualify new business opportunities. Build a scalable sales pipeline through deep research, intent data, and networking
  • Execute a multi-channel outbound strategy , combining cold outreach (emails, calls, LinkedIn), warm introductions, and personalised content marketing. Use paid ads and strategic messaging to engage decision-makers in key industries
  • Lead tailored discovery sessions and SaaS product demos , addressing the specific needs of enterprise clients. Conduct in-depth needs analysis to uncover challenges and position Matomo as the best solution
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing , ensuring revenue targets are met. Handle the complexity of longer sales cycles, multi-stakeholder engagements, and compliance (e.g., GDPR)
  • Develop long-term client relationships and coordinate smooth handovers to the Key Account Manager and Customer Success Manager. Stay involved in strategic account development to ensure multi-year partnerships
  • Position Matomo as a strategic partner for enterprise clients, focusing on data ownership and regulatory compliance in their long-term privacy strategies
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Privacy/Security, Marketing) to ensure solutions remain competitive and aligned with industry trends, particularly in regulated sectors
  • Act as the voice of the customer, providing insights and feedback to guide the **go-to-market strategy** and influence the product roadmap based on enterprise customer needs
  • Stay updated on GDPR and privacy regulations to build trust and address compliance concerns in the sales process. Adapt messaging to industry-specific privacy and data security challenges
  • Collaborate with Marketing to align on account-based marketing campaigns, key messaging, and thought leadership content tailored to enterprise audiences
