Remote Senior Accountant

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting (required)
• Experience in general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and month-end/year-end close processes
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales contracts to identify revenue implications and ensure adherence to company policies and accounting guidelines
• Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and other applicable standards, partnering with cross-functional teams to review sales transactions and contracts
• Manage the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, and assist with variance analysis to provide insights into business performance
• Calculate and review sales commissions based on sales agreements, ensuring accurate and timely payout to sales staff, and provide insights to management regarding commission-related expenses
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, preparing audit schedules, and implementing recommendations
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations, including automating workflows and improving reporting capabilities
